If we look at a word like it’s the handle of a suitcase holding a thought-provoking idea, here are two of my recent favorite “handles.”
Recalibrate
“A change in the way you do or think about something.”
—Cambridge Dictionary
If we never re-evaluate things in our lives and work and relationships, we never get anything different than what we’ve gotten.
Agendaless
“Without an agenda; unplanned; purposeless.”
—Collins Dictionary
Certainly have plans, have purposes, have agendas, but not when it comes to especially your business dealings with other people, or trying to force outcomes which cannot be forced.
Here's to your big dreams, the wonder of being human, and to really living. See you in the next one…
P.S. If you missed my first two favorite words for self-reliant dreamers and entrepreneurs, you can catch them here:
Who writes this thing? In case you don’t know me: I’m Emily Burnett, risk-taker, author + writer, and self-proclaimed explorer. I left my tech manager role 2.66 years ago to travel and build my money mentoring business, a leap which ended up introducing me to my love: writing.
I’m in the final-ish stages of my second book (my first book is Dear Fellow Spender: you can check it out here); this one is for those who dream of leaving security, or who have taken the leap and are in the making-it stages. It’s like an explorer’s guide to leaping and embracing risk.
On Substack, I created More to Your Life as a daily column to inspire more dreamers to opt-out of hustle, redefine success, and live more alive. It’s is a reader-supported publication about freedom and the wonder of life and being human.
