Stop Looking to Everyone Else for Your Answers
MTYL Memo #6—for those creating more freedom, purpose & possibility.
PSA: If you’re going to do the work you're meant to do, your voice needs to be louder in your life than anyone else’s—except God’s.
No one else has been tasked with living your life or getting your answers. Your life was given to you and major part of living it is learning to trust yourself and the internal answers you’re getting.
Ideas for making your own voice louder in your life:
Consume less “fix you” material and read more creative fiction or creative non-fiction.
Be very particular about which courses you take. What if each one reinforces the idea that someone else knows what you should be doing in your business or life?
Take action. This is where you’ll get your best answers.
Follow way fewer people on social media. Be there way less.
Ask yourself, “Is the content I am consuming making me more self-reliant, or less? Stronger or weaker? Braver or hesitant?”
Don’t share your decision-making with too many people. Decide, take action, inform later—if even necessary.
What are you going to start—or stop—doing to start hearing your own voice more?
P.S. If this snack-size version resonates, you may enjoy this much longer paid post I wrote several months ago.
