Each month, MTYL Insiders explore a specific dimension of creating work and a life you actually like. You’ve got dreams to build, personal autonomy to expand, and a meaningful life to live—and literal exploration (a.k.a “travel”) is a big piece of a life you like.

In case you don’t know, I traveled for two years full-time (2023-2024), and have seen and done and learned a lot along the way. This guide is helpful to anyone traveling especially abroad for any duration, and would be very bolstering to anyone working up the courage to travel solo or wing some travels—and I sincerely hope you do—the feeling of empowerment a person gets from navigating 1+ foreign country solo is pretty unbeatable.

This particular MTYL Toolkit guide isn’t as practical as some other resources in the Toolkit, but it’s one of my favorites. There are plenty of practical recommendations (helpful websites, recommendations, packing tips, booking tips) in addition to general learnings and take-aways.
