These Are a Few of My Favorite Things

This afternoon, I had my favorite car dealership experience to date. It was just a routine tire rotation and since everything else checked out on my SUV, I was out the door just one hour and $32.45 later.
It would’ve been even faster, but the last twenty minutes was a fascinating conversation with my service advisor in which he educated me about the CDK cyber attack. I had no clue, and you could say this made me an ideal audience for Nick. He happily spilled all the things he now knows about the attack and the massive impact it’s having and will continue to have on them and other dealerships. And I was a rapt listener for all he had to share.
It’s so not an awesome situation, but he was celebrating that at least they’ve been able to stay open—others have closed—and shared the silver lining that they are finding some cool efficiencies with less technology in the whole process.
