I can relate! I sold my yoga business when it was humming along, busy as ever. It gave me a solid income and plenty of freedom. However, I knew in my gut that I needed to move on. I needed more growth and challenge. Some will never understand. I am guessing that you do.

How totally cool is that. I actually love that you sold it when it going great. You could say I left my corporate job at a similar high point. I'm so glad you listened to your gut so we could meet on our journeys of growth and challenge!

I’m still growing, but the instability in the tech industry makes me nervous. I don’t want all of my eggs in one basket.

Do you have any regrets from leaving?

No regrets. I love what I'm building and would not have gotten here if I'd stayed comfortable. You're smart to not want all your eggs in one basket! Remind me, are you running your own tech business? I think I remember you were going to create something, with your sister maybe??

Thanks! I am in the very early stages of starting a (tech focused) consulting business. I have decades of experience in tech and 10+ in Quality Assurance, so I’m finding ways to take the knowledge and translate it into something less corporate.

I’m the sole income provider in my household so it’s simultaneously terrifying and critical for my 9-5 to not be my only source of income.

No family involved, with the exception of a loving supportive husband who is taking on a lot of house and kid stuff.

Trying to find ways to get better consistently and take action as I find myself procrastinating in the “learning” stage of everything rather than just doing something. Lol

Glad to see examples of those who just go for it. Thank you for sharing!

You are so in the right space, and I'm grateful you'd share where you're at with me! You're smart to know that it's never a great idea to have all your eggs in one basket, and that you're willing to take a chance on yourself.

That "learning" stage can be a total doozy--I see it keep people trapped for months or even years because it feels so productive and noble lol. Taking action is where the magic is though, this I know for sure.

I've got some stuff coming up that I think you'll appreciate! Let me know if there are specific things you'd like to see--questions you have or things you know you need to spur more action.

I appreciate that you've got a full plate with a FT job, a family, and starting a side thing. It's just super fun to think about what you will create and what options that will give you!!
