Send Gutsy Emails: Make Your Dreams Come True

Checking your email endlessly will never make you money. Sending gutsy emails, though? That might. Same goes for any gutsy action you take in the direction of your dreams.

Several years ago, I had a product I was trying to get licensed. It’s a better bug-getter, if you must know. Part of getting a product licensed is making cold calls to manufacturers. You call to get an email address to submit your product sheet to, then follow up until you get an answer of “yes,” “maybe,” or “no.”

I would use my lunch break to drive five blocks away from work, park in front of an industrial warehouse, and make my calls.

No, I haven’t made my bug-getter fortune yet, but those gutsy calls and emails gave me a chance of success. And gave me enough information to know what needs doing for when I redesign it and try again.

Taking any action was sure better than the alternative of passively waiting for someone to know I had this cool product.
