I love this. When I was in China, a native who was escorting me and 2 others around took me for a facial. She was using a machine for interpreting. She told me in advance how the facial will work. "They will spread poison all over your face." I was pretty sure something got lost in translation and fortunately I was correct. I'm glad you apologized to poor Chad who I'm sure is one of your avid readers!!!! Really fun post, Emily.

Your "poison facial" experience made me laugh. The things that get lost in translation! It's the best when both people realize the error and can laugh about it, since pure laughter is one thing that doesn't need any translating. Chad sadly probably doesn't read but one day when I'm a very famous writer he'll maybe start, and see himself in this story. So glad you enjoyed the post; thanks for letting me know!
